About Us
Hill House is your backyard in the city. We are an independent community center serving downtown Boston and are dedicated to providing year-round programs and special events for children, teenagers, adults and seniors.
We rely on the generosity of our members and business donors to help maintain the quality of our programs and community events. Major fundraisers, like our fall auction, holiday tree & wreath sale and wine dinner, bring our neighbors together and help raise necessary funds to strengthen and expand our programming. In addition to these essential fundraisers, we are proud to offer free community events including the Backyard Dash - a family run, walk and picnic on the Esplanade, a pancake breakfast, kids holiday parties, pictures with Santa, monthly senior dinners and much more.
Hill House strives to foster a community in the city and improve the quality of life for residents of all ages. We invite you to stop by and meet the Hill House community first hand, and sign up for one of our many program offerings. We look forward to seeing you around the neighborhood!

Teddy Ebersol's Red Sox Fields
Hill House is one of the leading sponsors of Teddy Ebersol's Red Sox Fields, a new youth baseball/softball and soccer recreation area at Lederman Park along the Charles River in Boston. Over 1,000 Hill House children play baseball, soccer and other sports on this extraordinary project, which is the result of a public-private partnership with the State of Massachusetts and three terrific nonprofits - Hill House, The Esplanade Association and The Red Sox Foundation. Created in honor of a devoted young Red Sox fan who died at the age of 14, the project was completed in 2006 and provides a fabulous new free recreation area for families and children for generations to come. For more information on this project or to make a tax deductible donation, please click here.
